Clear & Simple Stamps - August 2010 Release

Sunday, August 1, 2010

Hello there! Today is the day I can finally share the August SOTM from Clear & Simple Stamps.  The set is called Across the Miles and I adore it!  I've made so many adorable projects with it and am excited to share my first card with you today.

Here is the extremely versatile and fun set for August: Across the Miles
And here is my card for today:
I have been known to say the phrase "whatever floats your boat" quite a bit. Many many years ago when my husband and I were dating I used that phrase for some reason.  He laughed and laughed because he thought I made it up.  He didn't believe that it was a widely used saying.  I still say "whatever floats your boat" a lot and when I saw "you float my boat" in this set, I was in love. I know this card will be going to my husband.

Here's another view:
I used eyelets for the portholes on the boat.  I colored the boat with markers.  I cut the hearts out of red card stock. I used a scallop edge punch to create waves and a piece of the scraps from the punch to create the waves hitting the boat.
There is a new color this month: Trendsetter Blue.  Available today are Paper, ButtonsInk, Re-Inkers, Ribbon as well as the Copic Trio Bundle (pictured below) that all coordinate with Trendsetter Blue.

If you choose to purchase the Copic Trio + The August SOTM, you can receive a $1off at checkout using coupon code CSS0810.

Thank you so much for sharing in my excitement today!  You'll be seeing more cards and projects using this set throughout the month.  Have a great day!!!

Oh, I never even thought to use the scallop border punch as waves, it looks great!!! Super cute card and I love that sentiment as well.
