So Sweet, Tiny Card & Tiny Treat...

Friday, January 15, 2010

TGIF! Hello there! I made this little pair for today's LSC255 at SCS, which is to make a tiny card and tiny treat. All the papers I used come from Basic Grey's Nook & Pantry. The little treat container is from Nook & Pantry Favor Boxes: Do Me a Favor. The strawberries, square label and ribbon come from the favor kit. The finished card size is 4" x 4".

I hope you all have a wonderful and long weekend!

Merry & Bright...

Friday, December 4, 2009

Hello! Today's limited supply challenge at SCS was just too good to pass up. The challenge was that you could only use white paper and white embellishments and only one color ink. I pulled out all my white supplies and went to work. I used sticky tape around the edges and sprinkled on some iridescent glitter. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the snowflakes and they come out with the edges curled slightly. Perfect for a dimensional look.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I'll be back here tomorrow morning with an Our Creative Corner challenge. Thanks for stopping by today!

Thanks card...

Friday, October 9, 2009

TGIF! Today is the first day of Fall Break for my little ones. They have today off and all of next week. It was so nice to sleep in this morning, if only for a little bit.

The card I made uses the guidelines for today's limited supply challenge at SCS. You were allowed to use paper, ink, and stamps--that's it! Oh, and the theme was FALL. This is a true CAS card. I used a VersaMarker and t-square ruler to make the frame (and then gold embossing powder). Add Image

Hope you enjoyed today's card! Have a great weekend!

Birthday Wishes Gift Card Holder...

Friday, August 28, 2009

Hello there and happy Friday! I loved the idea of today's limited supply challenge at SCS and I just had to play. Today is Wendy's birthday (the challenge hostess) and she had some special requests for our creations today. There were 3 stipulations. Your card must be a money/gift card holder, have a butterfly on it, and use something chocolate in color.

Now, I haven't made a gift card holder in quite some time, so I had to go back and find my gift card holder tutorial. The finished card is 3" x 4.5", a little smaller than the tutorial card.

Here's what the inside looks like.
If you are looking for some other gift card holder ideas, click here, here, and here.

Thanks for visiting me today! Have a great weekend and don't forget about the Paper Maniac Blog Hop on Sunday!

Clean & Simple

Friday, January 30, 2009

Hey girlies! I wasn't sure I would have time to craft today, but then I saw that the challenge today on SCS was to make a "Clean & Simple" card. I can do that! This card was super easy. Just an embossing folder, a ribbon, a stamp and a punch. I stamped Close to Cocoa on Kiwi Kiss paper so that "hi" and the flower stems would be green. Easy peasy!

The kids and I finally got out of the house today. A quick trip to the grocery store, bank, and the post office to ship out some stamps that I sold. I still have quite a few sets left. Check them out here.
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! We will be visiting my new nephew tomorrow!!! I can't wait. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures!!!

LSC186 Happy Friday!

Thursday, September 18, 2008

I have really been a challenge junkie this week. I love doing challenges because they guide you in a direction, any direction. It's sometimes overwhelming when you don't have a plan. So many stamps, so many colors, so many pretty things! I know you know what I mean! Well, the "limited supply challenge" today was very specific as to what your card needed to include (or not include!). Here's the requirements:

  • Participants had to use White or Vanilla as the MAIN color
  • Second color had to be black, brown, or gray
  • Finally, you had to choose ONE other color
  • Limit yourself to three layers
  • No patterned paper, no background stamps
  • You can only use one image stamp, one sentiment stamp and you can only stamp it once and it must be on white
  • Embellishments, punches, and embossing were fine, but no distressing

Obviously I chose to use white, black, and red. The little stamp in the corner says "You're too kind". I have now officially used all of my "new" cuttlebug embossing folders and I really LOVE them. They add so much texture and interest.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! The weather here is perfect. A far cry from the wind storm last week. We still have about 130,000 customers without power in the tri-state area! We were definitely lucky to have only been without power for a day and a half. Okay, I'll stop rambling! Have a good one!

Stamps: Peaceful Wishes (SU), Mixed Messages (PaperTrey Ink)
Card Stock: Stamper's Select White (PaperTrey Ink), Real Red, Basic Black (SU)
Ink: Real Red, Basic Black (SU)
Accessories: Black Brads (Making Memories), Flower Punch (EK Success), Dimensionals, Stripes Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug)

LSC174 & This is my 100th blog entry!

Friday, June 27, 2008

TGIF! What a great day it's been so far. Halle and I made this card this morning for today's Limited Supply Challenge at SCS. Halle loves to help me make cards. We got some good quality time in today. The challenge was to use brads in your stamped image and no other embellishments. I used two brads for the center of each butterfly. It's really easy to make your butterflies 3D and stay that way. When you are opening up the brads on the back of the butterfly, don't just push them so they are flat with the paper, but over-extend them.
I'm so excited to be going on a date with my Hubby tonight. We are going out to dinner and then to see a movie, The Happening, we think. I'll let you know tomorrow if the movie is any good. Take care!

Stamps: Butterfly Kisses (Papertrey Ink)
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip (SU)
Patterned Paper: ATD paper stack Urban Oasis
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pixie Pink (SU)
Accessories: silver brads, 1/2 inch circle punch, rub-on (Kelly Panacci)
