Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Thanks for popping by my blog tonight.  Today I made a card specifically for the Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop.  The requirements this month were to make a project using stamps to build a background.  I decided to use the stamp set Around & About Sentiments and I have a nifty trick to show you.

As you can see in the picture above, I placed a piece of notebook paper behind my card stock.  This helped keep the stamps straight as well as ensure even spacing.
Voila!  Here's how it turned out.  A card for anyone and for any happy occasion.
Here's a close-up so you can see that those stars are really popped out.

Enjoy the hop and thanks for stopping by!

{Happy Everything}

Stamps: Around & About Sentiments (Papertrey Ink)
Card Stock: Aqua Mist, Summer Sunrise, Ripe Avocado, Pure Poppy, SS White (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Whisper White, Real Red, Brilliant Blue, Old Olive (SU)
Accessories: Foam Dimensionals, Edge Distresser (Heidi Swapp), Coluzzle (SU)

You did a great job stamping "in color" - I have a hard time doing that with my backgrounds!
