OCC Challenge - Summer Inspiration

Saturday, June 5, 2010

Hi!  Welcome to another challenge from Our Creative Corner.  This week we are letting SUMMER inspire us.  Pull out your summer stamps, paper, and embellies and make a card!

For my card I used some paper from the Sunshine Lollipops collection by Sassafrass.  Can't get more summery with a name like that!  I paired that paper with some hot air balloon images from the Papertrey Ink stamp set Everyday Button Bits.
My "sun" is sponged around the edges with an orange-y ink to make it pop off the page more.  The hot air balloons are stamped on white card stock.  I used a stampin' sponge to add some light blue to the background and edges.  The layer it is matted on is actually some light blue patterned paper.

I hope you'll all head on over to Our Creative Corner and see all the summery cards the design team created. I know you won't be disappointed.

Have a great weekend!  Thanks so very much for stopping by for a visit today!!!

A wonderful card, Dana - it feels so cheerful and summery! I wouldn't mind being on a hot-air balloon right now. Beautiful job!
