My First Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

Friday, July 25, 2008

Hi blog hoppers! Here is my project for tonight's blog hop. I made a box and adorned it with this vellum "flower". I was trying to "think outside the box" but then I actually made a box! The box is kraft (SU die cut box) and has a sleeve of chocolate chip paper and a striped ribbon from Offray. I cut out 4 circles with my Coluzzle, wadded them up, flattened them out and lightly touched Pixie Pink and Pink Passion ink on the circles. The center of the flower is a 3/4th inch punch on pixie pink with the words "Just Because" from PTI's Mixed Messages. Enjoy the HOP!

Wow, what a great idea to make a flower! Again, I find myself wondering "why didn't I think of that??!!" I like how you added the color to the "petals" too! And it looks perfect sitting atop of that box!! Thanks for the inspiration!!
